The Lehigh Valley Healing Arts Academy is located at the top of Shimerville Hill, overlooking the East Penn Valley. The one hundred seventy-five year old newly-renovated barn is on the same property as Essence, a group of holistic practitioners whose main objective is to empower their clients with their own healing process. Many of these practitioners play an active role in the staff of the Academy.

Located on Route 100 and Shimerville Road, the building is surrounded by farmland and rolling hills, yet restaurants, motels and shops are nearby. There are many parks and skiing facilities within a few miles.

The stone walls and beams overhead give a warmth to the two large school rooms and break room. In the break room, there is a lending library of approximately 1,500 books and 100 audio/video tapes.

A small bookstore carries pillows, oils, books and tapes. We also can order supplies for you and we distribute top quality massage equipment at a discount to students.

Sturdy massage tables (2 to 1 ratio), pillows, blankets, oil and towels are supplied. (Students are required to bring their own sheets.) Many charts and posters are displayed during the different classes. A television, VCR and slide projector are used for some classes. A large selection of music is available for listening during practice sessions.

Our busy office is tucked into a bright corner of the old barn where we can answer your questions and check on your records. Outside, just beyond our spacious parking lot, is a beautiful herb and vegetable garden that the butterflies and bees enjoy. We hope you will take the time to enjoy the sights and smells too!
